SeaGlass will be one of 7 properties in the Miami/Ft. Myers/Cape Coral/Sanibel FL area picked to showcase properties from the super luxurious to fun amenity filled SeaGlass by Sea Schells Vacation Rentals. We have signed the contract, things are now in motion, and we are both excited and super nervous!!!
HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOR SOMETHING THIS MONUMENTAL?? Stu and I, (Cathy) are simple people. We wear the work clothes, get dirty, remodel, redesign the spaces, handle the reservations, the payments, contracts, door codes, cleaning and maintenance crews, marketing and now...... preparing to be on an Emmy award winning show! Have any of you seen how I dress?? Shorts, grey curly ponytail and no make up. If I have to add looking good and clean, ugh....
My computer skills are lacking, my head wants to explode from all of this new knowledge. Web pages, social media, blogging, photo shoots, and now a 4 minute show that will be viewed by many people. If I thought long and hard enough about it, I would not do it. It would all be too much! However, that is how we have worked our way through this business and 44 years of marriage, which included 4 children in 5.5 years, and now 12 grandchildren. If we thought about it... we would never have done it. I only know how to do this, one step at a time.
We will do what we do best, be ourselves and hope that the world likes us, or at least Sea Schells Vacation Rentals properties. A blend of my unique style, and Stu's impeccable customer service and ability to get dirty, to do whatever it takes to make my visions a reality. Those creative years of working on our homes, and learning faux finishing has honed my unique style, that blends new, used, reworked, upcycled, eclectic, family homes that have all of the amenities for fun that keep families coming back year after year.
Photo shoot scheduled for mid October, praying no hurricanes this season! More to come as we plan and prepare.
